Cardiac Cath Lab – Critical Care Nurse

Western Cardiac Cath labs are some of the busiest in Melbourne offering acute and elective coronary intervention and electrophysiology services. We also provide a 24 hour on call service for acute myocardial infarct patients.

We have a passion for research and strive for use of current therapies to provide best care and pioneered a 24/7 cardiogenic shock programme in 2019 making us the first in Victoria to use the Impella cardiac pump device for this purpose. The department is supported by both Coronary and Intensive care units and a Cardiac diagnostic unit. This positon is Permanent Full Time.


  • Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing

  • Current registration with AHPRA

  • Minimum 12 months working experience within an Australian hospital setting (not including placements)

  • Ability to work a rotating roster

  • Possess a relevant postgraduate qualification in critical care

  • Be able to participate in 24 hour on call service

  • Cath lab experience preferred not essential
