The Peter Copulos Cancer and Wellness Centre team includes 3 local medical oncologists, 2 visiting medical oncologist and our expanding haematology service with 1 local haematologist and the support of visiting haematologist from St. Vincent’s Hospital. The team at GV Health is very proud of the supportive and healthy environment which has allowed a significant growth and expansion of our services including clinical trials. Our unit maintains strong links with the University of Melbourne and the Rural School of Medicine.

About the role
The successful applicant will be an outstanding clinician, demonstrate an exceptional track record as an oncologist and communicator and provide a high-level knowledge of the oncology services where evidence based clinical approaches are fundamental to the delivery of services. The position includes management of general oncology inpatients and outpatients, attending outreach clinics and active participation in education, quality improvement and research activities in our region.

We are looking for

Current AHPRA registration
FRACP or equivalent by examination in Medical Oncology
Experience in clinical trials
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Selection Criteria

Essential : Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner and FRACP or equivalent by examination in Medical Oncology
Essential : Excellent clinical skills and able to perform well as individual and as part of the Medical Oncology team
Essential : Trained in Good Clinical Practice and other aspects of clinical trial conduct
Essential : Effective communication skills and the ability to engage successfully with patients, relatives and colleagues
Essential : A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check, Victorian 'Employee' Working with Children Check and completion of a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration will be required from prospective candidates prior to commencement of employment.
