JOB DESCRIPTION

The Position:
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Paediatric Registrars to join a dedicated Paediatric team.

You will be providing high quality clinical service to patients under the guidance of Consultant Staff within the Paediatric Department. This involves assessing the medical needs of patients and supporting junior staff through education, supervision and mentorship.

Come and expand your skills, knowledge, and confidence as a Registrar in the speciality area of Paediatrics. The Hospital provides specialised paediatric care covering general medical and surgical care for treatments including:

· Dental
· Ear, nose and throat (ENT)
· General surgery
· Orthopaedics
· Ophthalmology
· Plastic surgery
· Urology

The successful candidate will have:
· General registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
· Appropriate current clinical experience in Paediatrics and shows commitment to continuous improvement of patient outcomes.
· Appropriate experience in the management and stabilisation of acutely unwell children and neonates.
· Demonstrated ability to perform Newborn resuscitation (including intubation, obtaining central venous access such as umbilical vessel access, chest needling).
· Completion of the NRP ( or NALS) , APLS
· Demonstrated ability to participate in Paediatric emergency MER calls and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
