Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality consumer focused, individually tailored, clinical rehabilitation services to support the recovery process for people with mental health problems, consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligible for membership with AASW. Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Psychology (with a minimum four-year degree with a major in Psychology and registration with the Psychologists Board of Australia) and registered with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated core competency skills in mental health rehabilitation and demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group clinical rehabilitation services. , e.g. Living skills assessment and training, vocational interventions, health promotion and education, motivational interviewing and psychological strategies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a strengths and consumer focused, recovery oriented approach, practice rehabilitation principles, current models of practice and associated interventions to support a person's recovery
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery, promote community linkage and partnership building.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
  • Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
  • Current NSW Driver's license.
