About the role

Eastern Health is seeking enthusiastic and motivated grade 2, Allied Health Assistants to join our the Acute and Age Medicine GEM and Palliative Care program.

To be successful in this role you should possess:
Essential:
Completion of the Certificate 4 (Allied Health Assistant) from a registered training organisation including training modules in Physiotherapy.

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to enable effective liaison with multidisciplinary team including effective clinical handover.

Well-developed clinical competence within Physiotherapy and a sound theoretical knowledge base relevant to the workplace

The ability to take direction from supervising staff and work effectively in a inter- disciplinary/multidisciplinary team.

Well-developed skills in organisation/time-management, planning and priority setting (including caseload management).

Desirable:
Minimum 1-years’ experience working within an acute or rehabilitation facility or exposure as a student to an acute/sub-acute hospital environment either as an Allied Health Assistant or Allied Health Professional student in working in a hospital based environment
