Due to internal growth, we are now looking for an Assistant Manager to support our beautiful aged care homes based in Dandenong North.

Situated in a quiet residential precinct in Dandenong North, Regis Dandenong North is a 171 bed home close to public transport and a range of beautiful parks and gardens, including the expansive BJ Powell Reserve just across the road. Our welcoming residence is proudly home to an inclusive, culturally-diverse community with residents from an array of backgrounds including Serbian, Croatian, Mauritian, Greek and Italian.

Regis Dandenong North offers a range of rooms and features central courtyard gardens with raised garden beds, light-filled intimate family lounge areas and spacious common areas for sharing fun and activities.

About The Role

This is an opportunity for someone who has a sound background in management and is looking to start their career within the Aged Care space or further develop their knowledge and skills in Aged Care while being supported and mentored by an experienced Residential Aged Care Manager.

This role creates the perfect stepping stone for someone who is looking to break into a rapidly growing industry. Your commitment and dedication will be imperative, as will a demonstrated pride in service excellence to enable success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full oversight of the Catering, Laundry, Maintenance and Administration areas of our aged care home
  • People management, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Interacting with the residents and their families and working closely with the leadership team and frontline staff to support and drive a positive, friendly, helpful and effective culture.
  • Last but not the least, the role will also involve supporting the sales and marketing of the home and ensuring compliance with all WHS processes.
About You
  • A natural communicator and self-starter, you take pride in your people management skills.
  • Customer service, client management and conflict or complaint resolution are your main strengths.
  • You are experienced within a multi-faceted, service based environment although this may come from a variety of industries like hospitality or healthcare.
  • Tertiary qualification s in business administration would be an added advantage.
