Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic person to fill a vacant medical administration position 3 days a week based at our St Kilda Road office. Become a part of a small team dedicated to BOWEL CANCER PREVENTION!

We are part of a well-established and highly regarded endoscopy facility with 5 Day Hospitals across Melbourne. This role will require you to liaise with patients, medical teams and gastroenterologists, facilitating colonoscopy/gastroscopy bookings.

Knowledge of endoscopy is an advantage, but not a requirement. Previous administrative experience is preferred, and comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will have intermediate computer skills, have a friendly and professional telephone manner with the ability to communicate with people at various levels and from a range of backgrounds (all communication with patients is via telephone and email). You will be required to follow detailed instructions and procedures, have the capacity to multi-task, show strong attention to detail and display excellent accuracy with your correspondence and data entry.

Your impeccable phone manner and ability to quickly build a rapport with patients, medical teams and gastroenterologists will be a huge advantage. Your computer skills and a high degree of motivation to learn your new role and get up to speed with our in-house appointment booking system will be highly valued; a high attention to detail and accuracy is an integral part of this position.

Duties are varied and include:
Completion of daily administrative tasks,
Answering the telephone/making calls/email correspondence,
Booking endoscopy appointments through to processing procedure results,
Utilising and maintaining an in-house patient database and appointment booking system,
Processing confidential patient files,
Liaising with medical teams,
Working under supervision and autonomously when required.

Having good organisational skills, possessing an outstanding work ethic and a good sense of humour will put you in good stead for this role. You will have a kind nature and a genuine concern for patient care. You will have a fun, positive disposition and your motivation will be an asset. Comprehensive training is provided in a supportive environment where continual improvement is encouraged.
