Starting at an exciting time in Variety Victoria’s evolution, the Partnerships Manager will be an integral part of the team. In the wake of COVID, Variety recognises the need to support children experiencing disadvantage, disability and illness will be even greater. Variety will be amplifying our storytelling and driving growth through innovative fundraising. Variety will be everywhere entertainment is enjoyed.

With bold driving ambition, the Partnerships Manager is responsible for the acquisition of new corporate partnerships, ambassadors and the development of relationships to support Variety to further diversify key revenue streams.

The role is for someone who loves a challenge, is dynamic, ambitious, driven to succeed and passionate about making a real difference in shaping the future of Variety and making a real difference to the issues facing children in need.

An attractive and performance based salary package can be negotiated.

Roles and Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop a comprehensive partnership fundraising strategy to underpin Variety’s sustainability and growth.
  • Identify and deliver new funding opportunities within the corporate sector and other industries.
  • Identify and deliver additional alternative partnership opportunities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Establish, build and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with Variety Ambassadors and senior executives of key partners, as well as with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive the development and implementation of key stakeholder relationship strategies including through the coordination of events, development of collateral and evaluation of joint initiatives.
  • Create and deliver presentations to prospective partners and industry stakeholders as required.

Key Selection Criteria

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification such as business management, marketing and/or communications.
  • Substantial experience in developing and implementing relationship management and/or partnership strategies within a not-for-profit and/or commercial environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving financial targets.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of corporate community partnerships, measurement and evaluation methods and a sound understanding of best practice partnership models.

  • Willingness to actively participate in all Variety activities.
  • Reliable and hardworking, with high levels of customer service, enthusiasm, and energy.
  • An entrepreneurial approach with an ability to identify and act upon opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high standards of performance.
  • A can-do attitude with a strong level of professionalism, self-sufficiency, and initiative.


  • Current Victorian Driving Licence.
  • Current Working with Children’s Check.
  • Federal Criminal History Check.
