JOB DESCRIPTION

The inpatient AHA team is a highly valued support team across the multidisciplinary AH team. The sub-acute unit is comprised of Geriatric Evaluation and Management; Rehabilitation and Transition Care Program beds. You will provide quality client care under the clinical delegation of an Allied Health Professional to maximise therapy provision to clients. You will work with clients in group or individual sessions in the unit. A grade 2 multidisciplinary AHA also works within this unit. Supervision is provided and opportunities for professional development, quality improvement and supporting AHA students are available. The AHA team actively participate in and contribute to unit activities.
  • Werribee Mercy Hospital; sub-acute inpatient team
  • Full time maternity leave position; job share may be considered
  • Grade 3 Multidisciplinary AHA
  • Work under the delegation of AH professionals to support AH services
  • Lead and support the AHA sub-acute team.

ABOUT YOU:
  • AHA certificate IV or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience as an AHA, preferably within an inpatient setting
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to customer focused service and outcomes
