Hospital Support Team Leader - COVID Patient and Visitor Support Team


12 months Fixed Term Position
Full Time Role in Parkville

Your contribution 


Leading the newly created Covid Patient and Visitor Support Team, you will use your leadership experience to ensure that your team can provide exemplary patient-centred services, supporting our patients, visitors and staff through our COVID related screening polices and procedures.


Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:



  • Ensuring the team is offering a highly positive point of contact to our patients, families and visitors

  • Ensuring the team remains up to date with accurate COVID information in-line with DHHS and Hospital policy in an environment of rapid change

  • Provide day to day support, care and guidance to the team

  • Create and manage the teams roster ensuring all shifts are covered

  • Implement and minor the administration of screening processes, updating information and maintaining supplies of materials for the screening team

  • Undertaking screening shifts, helping people understand the current COVID rules around entering the Women's, using technology to register their arrival and assisting them to get further information or support if needed

You will be the Team Lead of this new team, following DHHS and hospital policy & procedure directives whilst providing excellent patient centered service and giving support and guidance to your team members. This is a 12-month program wherein you will roster your team to cover shifts across seven days a week, from early morning until evening.
