JOB DESCRIPTION

Associate Unit Manager - COVID-19 Vaccination Hubs Western Health

An exciting opportunity exists for an Associate Unit Manager to play a key role in establishing the COVID-19 Vaccination Hubs and lead the team in the roll out the Covid-19 Vaccinations.

Western Health’s Covid-19 Vaccination hubs are being rapidly established to commence Covid-19 Vaccinations for health care staff and later to the community.

Since its initial ‘go live’ the Sunshine Vaccination Hub has administered over 22,000 vaccines. We are now recruiting again as we prepare to open the next mass vaccination site at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

The successful applicants for the AUM role will be driven, agile and experienced Registered Nurses who will play a valuable role in the establishment and management of the next Covid-19 Vaccination hub.

After establishment the Covid-19 Vaccination Hub AUM role will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Covid-19 Vaccination Hub, acting as a Nurse In Charge or Team Leader on each shift. AUMs will work closely with the Unit Manager to manage changing resources, workflows, staff, and other challenges and risks as they arise.

Flexibility will be essential in this role as the Covid-19 Vaccination Hubs need to be a dynamic workplace that will change to meet demand and supply of the vaccine. Applicants will need to have the flexibility and adaptability to move sites, modify hours, and to pivot to changes in supply and demand at very short notice.

Are you ready to rise to this challenge? Please apply with your CV and cover letter that tells why you would like to join the team and what skills you will bring to the team; please include any relevant examples of experience.
