About Monash Health Oncology


Monash Health Oncology has a large Clinical Trials Unit and utilizes the Purpose Build State of the Art Clinical Trials Unit at the MHTP to implement new and exciting clinical trial opportunities for our Cancer patients. Our Clinical Trials Unit currently runs up to 150 clinical trials in all aspects of medical oncology, , and which offers patient-centric care to patients with complex needs. The unit is divided into 5 streams, Early Phase, Gi, GU, Breast/Gynae and Lung/other which have their own trial portfolio.


About the Role


We are looking for a motivated individual to Lead on a day to day basis a team of Research Nurses, coordinators and Clinical Trials Assistants, in Gastrointestinal Clinical Trials Team. This is a dynamic and fast-paced team, working in an ever-evolving developmental area of both targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy. A strong collaboration between the unit, the trial sponsors, and Monash Health is required in planning, coordinating and implementing trials to ensure the best possible care for trial patients.



  • Day to day oversight of the team

  • Communicate with management, investigators and outside vendors

  • Ensure that all trials are conducted safely and in accordance with Monash Health values and ICH GCP guidelines


About You


Have you have been developing your management and leadership skills or you are an accomplished Research Nurse / Coordinator either way, you are ready to take this next step in your Career. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based clinical trials to all patients.   • Relevant Qualification (aligned to position description)

  • Demonstrated experience (aligned to position description noting no reference to years of experience)

  • Current AHPRA registration (if applicable)
