An exciting opportunity currently exists for enthusiastic Medical Practitioners to join our Medical Workforce as a HMO3 in our Surgical Stream in 2022.

Details of position/position requirements

HMO's in the surgical stream at Austin Health are employed in a number of specialty streams, including cardiac surgery, orthopaedic surgery, urological surgery and thoracic surgery; rotations are also available in general surgery (Burnie, Tasmania and Wonthaggi, Victoria) and emergency medicine. Those who have undertaken an HMO3 surgical year at Austin Health have progressed to SET and non-SET training positions, and also to positions in radiology and nuclear medicine training.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Be registered (or able to be registered) with AHPRA,

  • Be dedicated to delivering excellent patient care, and

  • Dedicated to teaching, training and team work.
