About the Opportunity

The Nurse Manager is responsible in meeting Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) approved standards, codes, guidelines and frameworks. As per the NSW Nurses and Midwives State Award 2018, a Nurse Manager Grade 4 is a Registered Nurse who encompasses all aspects of lower grades, in addition to:

  • Being responsible for the management and education of nursing staff.
  • Managing changes in nursing processes and practices, whilst maintaining a harmonious work environment.
  • Balancing clinical and resource decision making within finite resources to ensure new models of care are sustainable and evidence-based.
  • Meeting benchmarks and key performance indicators, initiating and facilitating change in a diverse, mobile and multidisciplinary workforce.
