CSSD Registered Nurse



  • CSSD supports a busy 16 theatre operating suite

  • Full Time, Part Time position available

  • Join the Parkville Precinct and collaborate with a team of brilliant thinkers


The Royal Melbourne Hospital


As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.



Your success in this role, will be in your ability to



  • Complete consumable picks for the following days’ surgical activities

  • Oversee instrument picks and check their accuracy

  • Set up theatres ready for the next day

  • Ensue the instruments flow through CSSD meets the organisations needs

  • Be visible and present


Your Contribution



  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

  • High level of reliability and professional conduct

  • A minimum of 4 years’ operating theatre experience
