MARKET ACCESS PROJECT MANAGER ANZ

The Opportunity:

J&J Medical's Health Economics and Market Access department is looking for a Market Access Project Manager to join the team. In this role you will be:

  • Responsible for identifying, developing, and achieving funding and reimbursement success related to key product portfolios in Johnson & Johnson Medical (JJM) franchises.
  • Draft and compile PLAC, DRG and MSAC code reimbursement applications inclusive of relevant documentation collation.
  • Contribute to the development of market access strategies based on customer, payor, AIHW and DHB procedural data insights aligned with local business plans.
  • Understand and educate internal teams on local market access barriers and/or opportunities by gathering information on clinical benefits, health outcomes and cost implications of the JJM medical device portfolio.
  • Support evidence generation projects by identifying and compiling local data gaps and local evidence needs aligned to ANZ business opportunities.
  • Identify and analyse clinical and health economic or real-world evidence to drive value and access for key priority platforms and devices.
  • Adapt regional and/or global health economic models including in-house testing for use by ANZ customer facing teams to ensure ease of use, clarity, and acceptance of messages by key stakeholders.
  • Acts as a business partner with collaboration in multi-functional teams by capturing and contributing HEMA specific knowledge to overall business strategies.
  • Present and educate internal teams by dissemination of market access updates, economic data/tools and knowledge sharing with compilation of presentation materials.
  • Support HEMA personnel management with Department of Health, PHI, KOLs, clinical societies and non- clinical stakeholders, including Providers, by compiling relevant environmental insights and analyses.
Key Role Activities:
  • Takes ownership for developing market access strategy and plans specific to allocated business projects.
  • Responsible for clear and accurate written and verbal communication of JJM market access processes and respective government deadlines specific to aligned projects.
  • Execute on business project reimbursement plans and activities with completion of HTA application sections and submission of PLAC applications via the DoH PLMS portal.
  • Work closely with regulatory affairs, marketing, strategic customer group and other key internal JJM teams in the creation, alignment and implementation of strategic market access information and data generation plans/activities for new technologies.
  • Deliver RWE analysis across the spectrum of available data specific to medical devices and ANZ healthcare systems, namely AIHW, state based procedural datasets and DHB.
  • Develop and disseminate health economic tools to support business projects aligned to key technologies.
  • Support clinical evidence dissemination working closely with commercial professional education teams.
  • Act as an ambassador for HEMA within the local business but also with global and regional HEMA teams.
  • Responsible for planning of relevant budget items and operating expenses associated with market access project deliverables.
  • Engage and present to local cross-functional and commercial teams on project milestones and successes in various forums and formats.
  • Accountable for completion and submission of timely expenses management and all JJM internal training.
Qualifications

Essential

:
  • Tertiary Education in Health or Science related disciplines - Health Economics, Medical/Science Degree
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, medical devices, pharmaceutical (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of reimbursement/funding processes and submissions (PLAC, MSAC)
  • Understanding of pricing and reimbursement processes within Australia and New Zealand’s policy environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Project management experience
  • A strong team player that is solutions focused
  • Intermediate to advanced level MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and a digital work environment
Desirable

:
  • MSc (Health) Economics/ Master of Public Health (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of global commercial environment
  • Familiar with the practical and commercially aligned application of clinical/economic analyses
