The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our Pre-admission clinic / Day Surgery / Orthopaedics Wards on a full-time and part-time basis

The purpose of this role is to ensure the clinical care of patients at The Mater is provided in a person centred care manner, within the philosophy, mission and values of The Mater Sydney. To ensure all patient care delivered is done so within the scope of practice of the Enrolled Nurse and by adhering to policies and procedures of The Mater and St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA).

Duties Include ( But Not Limited To)

  • Demonstrating clinical knowledge in the specific area of practice with a commitment to professional development.
  • Clinically managing one self, and others when required, to create a transformational leadership environment.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of patients and staff is maintained and communication and interpersonal skills are effective and appropriate.
  • In conjunction with their direct-line manager, participate in regular structured appraisal process.
  • Providing quality health services within the ethos of the vision, mission and values of SVHA and Ethical Standards for Catholic Health.

About You

The candidate must have:
  • Current AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled Nurse without notation.
  • A commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Ethics and Code of Conduct of St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care
  • Commitment to continued professional development
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills
  • Experience working within a health care clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management skills.
  • High-level computer literacy
