An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy (OT) Department in the hand therapy stream. The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist (OT) will work in the hand therapy stream in a casual capacity to ensure safe and effective evidence based clinical care for patients and their families. This position is based in the out-patient hand therapy service that provides excellent care to patients with traumatic, chronic and post-operative conditions affecting their hand function. 


The Austin Health OT Department is a vibrant and fast paced environment. The OT streams are made up of clinicians with great interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude. OTs at Austin Health are experts in functional assessments, occupation-based interventions and client centred practice. 


Each OT is empowered to work autonomously, within a strong supervision structure, using their specific skills to improve patient care. Austin Health OTs work in a number of key practice areas including inpatient rehabilitation, acute services, hand therapy and aged care specialisations. The successful candidate will work in an area that is suited to their specific skill set and the operational needs of Austin Health.
