  • 2 x Temporary Clinical Support Nurse Positions, Grade 3B, Emergency Department


Monash Health is excited to offer 2 positions in a temporary, fixed term clinical support nurse position in our emergency departments made available due to maternity leave. These positions collaborate across all sites and one will be based primarily at Casey hospital and the other based primarily at Clayton. These are clinical leadership positions providing education and training to advance the clinical competency of the Emergency department staff. Nursing and Midwifery Education & Strategy (NaMES) supports the organisation in achieving their vision and values by providing education and training and advancing clinical practice to ensure Monash Health has a contemporary, flexible and highly skilled workforce.

About The Role 


We require two highly skilled clinicians with a passion for education who will be responsible for providing clinical and educational support to nursing (and midwifery) staff across Monash Health with a particular focus in Emergency nursing. Some of your specific accountabilities will include:



  • Demonstration and provision of contemporary education that promotes best practice standards

  • Clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, novice to expert

  • Helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care

  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team


About You


You are a senior, highly skilled nursing clinician with well-developed engagement, communication and collaboration skills. You have post graduate qualifications in critical care nursing or you are working toward completion and you have experience in supporting learners and in particular, you can demonstrate the following:



  • Commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team

  • Ability to show initiative and work independently when required

  • A well-developed understanding of different teaching and learning styles


 What You Need



  • Relevant Qualification as per the position description

  • Demonstrated experience in Emergency nursing

  • Current AHPRA registration
