The Royal Melbourne Hospital

As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

Your new team

Working closely with the IWAMHS executive and clinical and practice leaders, you will work collaboratively with a team who are passionate about providing best practice, recovery-focussed and person-centred care to consumers and carers.

The service has made significant reforms in our practice over the last 8 years which are aligned with the outcomes of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System, and to fully realise the vision for excellence in mental health service delivery, your role will be pivotal in achieving great outcomes for consumers and carers.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

Share the vision for high quality mental health service delivery

Work collaboratively with a wide range of staff

Write high quality submissions and service descriptions

Build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Identify the elements required for a range of service developments

Work autonomously.

Your Contribution

In this role you will support the future development of the IWAMHS, developing detailed project plans, submissions and operational guides

Engage key internal and external stakeholders in the change process.

Possess relevant experience and evidence of success in similar roles

Demonstrate effective communication skills.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of mental illness and psychosocial disability.
