About The Role

This is a newly created opportunity to be part of a well-established and growing research team in Icon Cancer Centre at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga. Working on a permanent full-time basis, you will be responsible for leading research operations at our sites across NSW in medical oncology and haematology, ensuring we are providing patients with a current, comprehensive and holistic approach to their treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management and coordination of workload associated with clinical trial activity for staff at all research sites across the state
  • Ensure each research-active Icon site in the state is achieving KPIs in relation to patient recruitment and financial management
  • Directly lead a team of Clinical Research Coordinator Team Leaders
  • Assist in streamlining processes to ensure the highest quality and efficiency of research activity and trial management is performed
  • Mentor, educate and train staff at all sites across the state, and enhance the quality of learning and professional development within your team
  • Ensure all research-active sites in the state are represented appropriately in terms of marketing and referrer engagement
  • Act as the state liaison for Icon clinic staff, sponsor representatives, participants, investigators and external parties
About You

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to further expand their career and take ownership of clinical trial operations across NSW. You will have high attention to detail and the ability to efficiently prioritise your workload. You will also have the ability to build strong working relationships with internal staff and key stakeholders, as well as a passion for mentorship, education and problem solving. Finally, you will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding and background in people leadership.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in relevant health sciences / allied health field OR registered / enrolled nursing qualification with appropriate registration
  • Oncology and / or haematology clinical research coordinator/nurses with more than 3 year trials experience
  • Current driver’s licence
