About The Role

The purpose of this position is to work as an effective team member with both the clinical and non-clinical staff whilst assisting in the performance of nursing duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse.

Duties
  • Ability to assist in the performance of nursing duties in an efficient and prompt manner as delegated by a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Ability to participate in and support education activities and to contribute to the development of self and other team members.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Ability to work flexibly within the Facility service.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Essential qualifications: Relevant TAFE Certificate i.e. Certificate III health/aged care and/or have successfully completed second year bachelor of nursing studies clinical placement
  • Appropriate problem solving/analytical abilities.
  • Have a demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices.
  • Ability to participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Desirable technical skills: One year recent work experience in a health care environment.
