Description

Reporting into the National CI & Trauma Manager you will be the pivotal person for psychological support for clients of Lifeworks. Under the Employee Assistance Program, this role is for a Psychologist/Senior Social Worker to work across a range of services including counselling, psychological wellbeing and Trauma Support Management.

You will be working with corporate clients that have been involved in critical incidents and conducting wellbeing checks to monitor the mental health of employees that have been exposed to traumatic situations in the workplace. The role provides clinical oversight within the EAP service industry and working with key customers of Lifeworks to deliver Psychology services to 6 clients per day. Your role will be to ensure that service delivery and clinical support are provided within the required service level agreements for the ultimate goal of meeting quality standards. The role forms part of the LifeWorks clinical team that develops and aligns global delivery standards to ensure consistent clinical delivery and best practice to key clients.

This role is responsible for delivering optimal clinical delivery, whilst meeting service, client, and business objectives. You will be responsible for the preliminary evaluation of workplace situations that are being presented. Managerial coaching and support as well as following up with customers to assess workplace coping mechanisms and post-intervention coaching. Working with caseloads that include crisis, trauma, and workplace violence, you will be the key person for services on-site or through a telephonic platform as well as peer training consultations.

Overall, the key areas of responsibility include (but not limited to):

  • Clinical oversight and governance for key clients
  • Engagement within the clinical team
  • Development for all clinical matters and standards within your caseload
  • Working to clinical systems and procedures for overall identification and to manage clinical risk and delivery of time-critical clinical services
  • Supporting regular and as-needed customer engagement activities
  • Maintaining awareness of EAP and best practice of overall mental health and wellbeing
Profile

To Be Considered For This Role You Will Possess
  • Minimum 5 years experience in post-registration (AHPRA registration essential) experience as a Senior Psychologist (ideally 10 years experience)
  • Clinical Psychologist with a minimum of 3+ years experience
  • Senior Social Worker with Mental Health Accreditation - Minimum 5 years post-registration experience (AASW Member)
  • EAP experience desirable
  • Trained short term interventions
  • Experienced in telephone, digital, and face to face counselling
  • Excellent clinical report writing skills
  • Experience in scoping trauma incidence responses is desirable
