Your Opportunity

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Neurosurgery team. This is a Part Time, Fixed Term position, working 56 hours per fortnight, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

  • Perform clerical duties as assigned by the senior administration staff, including collecting, sorting and distributing mail, producing photocopies, mailing and sending faxes.

  • Undertake coordination of Outpatient Clinics by review of upcoming bookings, ensuring correct clinic numbers and patient bookings and arranging investigations where needed, under direction of the Neurosurgery clerical team.

  • Liaise with patients regarding appointments and queries in a professional and compassionate manner.

  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

  • Undertake duties in a professional, courteous and approachable manner to all staff.

About You

  • Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner.

  • Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills.

  • Computer skills, including accurate keyboard skills and experience with hospital IT programs, or ability to learn these processes.
