About the position: This newly established position represents an exciting opportunity to play a key role in impacting Royal Perth Bentley Group patients’ experience by supporting timely patient flow through the organisation. The Royal Perth Bentley Group Operations Hub combines the latest in systems engineering and innovative problem solving to monitor and support patient safety, the patient experience, hospital capacity and the movement of patients in, out and around the organisation - using real time data to achieve the best outcomes for our patients during their admission to hospital. The Operations Hub operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. As the Operations Hub Manager you will have the unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team of staff including bed management, discharge coordination, workforce allocation, transport and patient support personnel, whose collective roles significantly contribute to the delivery of timely care across the Royal Perth Bentley Group. Within the functions of the role you will have a strong interface with clinicians providing services within the Royal Perth Bentley Group as well as support strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Executive team to advocate for sustained efficiencies in patient flow.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in senior leadership positions within complex health service settings as well as strength in analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills and demonstrated capacity to lead organisational change and service development.

About the RPBG: The Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG) provides care within the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS), in Western Australia, and incorporates both Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and Bentley Hospital. RPH is a 450-bed tertiary hospital offering an extensive range of services including: adult major trauma, complex and elective surgery, highly specialised surgical services, tertiary mental health, specialist medical services and a range of same-day clinical support services. RPH also has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Australia and the second biggest trauma workload in the country. As a premier teaching hospital, RPH has a number of joint appointments with various universities and has established a global reputation in research and innovation. The Bentley Health Service is a 199 bed public hospital providing specialist care in rehabilitation, community child and adolescent health, aged care and mental health.
