Requisition ID: CAM10918 Provisional Fellow positions in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine are available for the 2022 Clinical Year, for up to 12 months, from 07 February 2022 to 05 February 2023. There are positions available at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick (SCH). Positions are accredited for advanced training and would be suitable for a candidate interested in a career in general or subspecialty training. Interviews will be conducted virtually via videoconference on Tuesday June 22nd 2021. Selection Criteria:
  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  • Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) as an advanced trainee or equivalent. Those registered with the RACP, must have preferably completed a minimum 6 months as an advanced trainee with RACP (or equivalent) at commencement of Fellowship.
  • 6 months experience in relevant subspecialty or equivalent. Please detail relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
  • Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
  • Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent time management, problem solving skills, clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
