The Role
Permanent full-time and part-time roles exist (let us know your preference in your cover letter) in our 37-bed acute general medical ward at the recently refurbished and redeveloped Epworth Freemasons, located in East Melbourne. The ward also has a dedicated 4 bed day medical unit for infusions and other day procedures.

You will be part of a team committed to providing exceptional patient outcomes and experiences through an approach to nursing that focuses on contemporary practice and continued improvement. Professional development and further education is encouraged.

You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering high quality nursing care and an exceptional experience to our patients
  • Utilising a reflective, critical thinking and evidence-based approach to the clinical care of patients
  • Working collaboratively with fellow members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Actively participating in quality improvement activities

To be successful in this role…
You are highly accountable and demonstrate a supportive and engaging style. This style provides you the ability to engage strongly with your team, your patients and the wider team. You thrive in fast-paced environments and have excellent time management and organisation skills, which enable you to prioritise effectively to manage multiple requirements.

You will have

  • Current AHPRA nursing registration
  • 2 years’ experience in acute care setting or successful completion of a hospital graduate program
  • Proficiency in patient assessment and possess strong clinical skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
