Regis Lutwyche

Regis Lutwyche is a purpose-built ageing-in-place contemporary home located in inner north Brisbane on the famed Kedron Brook Trail. Completed in June 2018, the Club home is conveniently close to public transport and parks and features concierge, Wi-Fi, Foxtel, private dining room, day spa, hair salon, cinema and library.

Regis Lutwyche has 135 single rooms (including dementia- specific, palliative and respite), each with en suite, and all with a view of a courtyard or landscaped garden. The stunning rooftop lounge and cafe offer views of the city. Club Services also includes a Personal Club Plan tailored to your tastes and needs and a dedicated Club Services Manager to help manage your plan and help you enjoy the experience.

About the role

This is a permanent position at our Regis Lutwyche home, working a variety of AM, PM and night shifts across the 7 day week. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Registered Nurse in Health Care or Aged Care, be someone that is passionate about assisting our residents with their daily needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete reporting and documentation based on Regis policies and procedures
  • Motivate, lead and supervise all the staff
  • Provide high quality oversight and leadership of the home
  • Monitor clinical care plans and participate in clinical auditing
  • Administer schedule 8 medications and provide specialised nursing care as required
  • Ensure all clinical document is congruent with current care requirements of residents

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
  • Given our high Italian resident population, Italian language skills would be beneficial and highly regarded.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including applications in aged care
  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices
  • Well developed communication skills
  • Experience in leading people or supporting care teams
  • A good understanding of ACFI and the aged care accreditation standards
  • Demonstrated skills in documentation, care planning and assessment
  • A passion for person-centred care delivery and dementia care excellence
  • Proven capability and experience in leading a team
  • A hands on approach to your role with a focus on customer service and leadership 

Mandatory requirements for all candidates

  • Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered*
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
  • Valid National Police Check

* The Australian Government has advised that all residential aged care staff and visiting workers should be vaccinated by 1 May 2020. This includes both current and future Regis employees.
