Workplace Location

Regis Bunbury is a 95 bed aged care facility offering ageing-in-place and specialist dementia care in single rooms with en suite and features services such as an on-site cook, religious services, residents€™ library, hairdressing salon, and a wellness clinic. Regis Bunbury offers a Family Room for when a loved one is in palliative care. Equipped with a sofa bed, tea & coffee making facilities and a pamper trolley, this private room offer space and comfort for families.

About the role

The Senior Registered Nurse has clinical oversight of the home including management of clinical reporting and documentation, staff training, provision of ongoing management, leadership and support to all care staff.

The role will also provide oversight of all specialised nursing. Working closely with the Facility Manager and leadership team, the Senior Registered Nurse will ensure consistent compliance with all Aged Care standards and Regis Quality Care policies and procedures ensuring all staff adhere to safe practices and follow all WHS requirements.

This role is being offered on a part-time basis, with flexible working arrangements available.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all clinical document is congruent with current care requirements of residents
  • Administer schedule 8 medications and provide specialised nursing care as required
  • Monitor clinical care plans and participate in clinical auditing
  • Provide high quality oversight and leadership of the home
  • Motivate, lead and supervise all the staff
  • Complete reporting and documentation based on Regis policies and procedures

Your skills & experience

  • Qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care
  • A hands on approach to your role with a focus on customer service and leadership
  • Strong IT skills including previous experience using a care management system
  • A robust approach to managing your time effectively and ability to work within deadlines

Mandatory requirements for all candidates

  • Valid National Police Check
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
  • Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered*

* The Australian Government has advised that all residential aged care staff and visiting workers should be vaccinated by 1 May 2020. This includes both current and future Regis employees.
