Liverpool Hospital Mental HealthServices is recruiting for a ClinicalNurse Consultant (Grade 1) to complement and enhance the current OlderPeople€™s Mental Health Community Team. As a seniorclinician within the Older People€™s Mental Health (OPMH) Service provide aspecialist mental health consultancy nursing service to older people with amental illness and/or severe and persistent behavioural disturbance and carry aclinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service.

The position is based at Liverpool Hospital with the Older People€™s Mental Health (OPMH) Community Team. The OPMH Team operates within a collaborative and supportive work environment in which continuing professional development is highly valued.

What you'll be doing

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert practitioner who,through leadership facilitates evidence based practice. As a senior clinicianwithin the Liverpool Older People's Mental Health multi-disciplinary communityteam, the CNC will provide a specialist mental health consultancy nursingservice to older people with a mental illness and/or severe and persistentbehavioral disturbance and carry a clinical caseload appropriate to the needsof the service. The CNC will provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to staff toensure the delivery of evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientatedassessment and treatment.

The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence,research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality healthcare by collaborating with the health care providers and consumer groups,developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. The CNCis responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management ofthe care in the given specialty.
