Tronox is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to work at our Laboratory based in Australind.

This position is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is required to work a day roster Monday to Friday, and to cover Rostered block leave a minimum of 5 months of the year at Australind (12hr day shifts), and long service leave and sick leave shift coverage at Kemerton (12hr Day and Night shifts) as required. A partial shift allowance is included. The role is responsible for covering all laboratory and pigment sample analysis activities.

In addition to the above, with the requirement for flexibility to also cover afternoon shifts, weekends and public holidays as business needs require.

About the Role

  • Sample preparation and reporting
  • Physical analysis of pigment samples
  • Routine operation of the XRF
  • Liaising with Production personnel in relation to results
  • General laboratory duties

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong safety attitude to work
  • Preference for a Diploma in Laboratory Techniques, minimum requirement a certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
  • Ability to multitask
  • Work efficiently in our busy laboratory
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work as an effective team member

This position is based at our Australind Pigment Plant in the beautiful South West of Western Australia.
