Full Job Description
Our Rehabilitation Consultants use case management skills and a strong customer focus to provide rehabilitation services, including specialised assessments, to APM WorkCare's clients from a range of backgrounds including corporate Australia.

Coming from a range of allied health backgrounds, our consultants share APM’s passion to enabling better lives, and work with impacted individuals and employers to improve quality of life and achieve outcomes.

A day in the life of a Rehabilitation Consultant

Our focus is on health and safety, and we want you to assist people while reducing the impact of absence for the individual, the employer’s team and business.

As a physiotherapist, occupational therapist or exercise physiologist, working as a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be using your clinical expertise and skills to manage your client’s recovery though without the physical demands of treatments yet still conducting assessments.

In this role, you’ll be….

Completing functional capacity evaluations
Conducting worksite assessments to understand what duties your client can complete to help them achieve their short-term and long-term return-to-work goals
Collaborating with other health practitioners through case conferencing
Organising rehabilitation activities for your client incl. Pilates, Hydrotherapy, etc.
Reviewing and analysing medical reports e.g. MRIs, X-Rays, etc.

What makes a great Rehabilitation Consultant?

A qualified allied health professional, you will share our passion for working with employers and staff to reduce the personal and business impact of injuries and illnesses.

Open to new opportunities, you will have a non-judgemental approach to working with others combined with outstanding interpersonal skills and:

allied health qualifications (Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist)
professional registration or Membership with AHPRA, ASORC or ESSA
at least 2 year previous experience in injury management/ vocational rehabilitation
