Job Details
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Aged Care Manager to lead and support our 60 bed Residential Aged Care facility located in Croydon, VIC. This position is permanent full-time (working Monday to Friday).

About The Role

You will be responsible for the day-today operations of the facility; leading your team from the front line and ensuring your staff and the residents have the required support to be safe, happy and successful. You will ensure the quality care services are provided thus helping to achieve a sustainable and caring lifestyle for our aged care residents in an environment that promotes dignity, comfort and security.
If you are an exceptional leader with experience in people and change management, resident and family engagement, with your current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, then we would like to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Maintain best practice in care and other services delivery through continuous quality improvement systems and meeting accreditation standards
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate services and resident satisfaction
  • Ensure the operation and governance of the facility complies with applicable legislation and the policies and procedures of Aveo
  • Achieve the financial objectives of the facility through effective budget management
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional and caring relationships with residents, their families, health care professionals, government agencies and all other aged care facility stakeholders.
  • Optimise resident ACFI levels where practical by arranging the necessary assessments of existing residents and admitting new residents appropriate for the aged care facility
  • Lead staff by example in carrying out all duties to a high standard, and maintaining ethical, professional and caring behaviour at all times, and promote a participative decision-making environment
To be successful in this role you will have :
  • Registered Nurse qualifications (Essential)
  • AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience in undergoing accreditation
  • Successful personal experience in making ACFI claims
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary aged care nursing practices
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and improve policies and procedures in an aged care facility.
  • Understanding of financial budgets, management and reporting
  • Demonstrated skill in organising staff rosters
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A collaborative management approach
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Management/Aged Care well regarded
