Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Technical Assistant to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital !

Do you have demonstrated previous work experience in a health service or clinical diagnostic laboratory?

Do you have a working knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn, general laboratory duties and sample handling procedures relevant to the Department?

The position is to assist the RPA Department of Neuropathology to perform a range of laboratory based work and administrative support. This encompasses the Histopathology laboratory, Molecular Neuropathology laboratory, CJD laboratory, and in some instances, the nerve and muscle laboratory, Australian Sports Brain Bank, MS Research Australia Brain Bank, and Neuropathology Tumour and Tissue Bank.

The position primarily focuses performing a range of laboratory and administrative support, contributing to the efficient operation of the Department, and consequently delivering a patient focused service.
