Our Host located in the South East of Melbourne supply a comprehensive range of containers, accessories and other plastic products wholesale, throughout Australia and overseas. They are currently seeking a first year Printing Technician to join their growing team

What is a Printing Technician?

A Printing Technician is responsible for screen preparations & setting up printing equipment for printing plastic products as per the Print Production Schedule. Reporting to the Printing Manager, the position requires to work within company policies, observing safe work practices at all times & maintain high level of accuracy to meet

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Knowledge & understanding of the printing equipment & setting requirements
  • Correctly set up each printing M/C as per sheet & or print sample supplied
  • Clearly communicate with the printing operators & address any print quality concerns during the printing M/C setup & order processing
  • Prepare & or mix inks as required for print orders prior to printing
  • Perform any other tasks as required or directed
  • Excellent numeracy and verbal/written communication skills
  • Adhering to all OH&S procedures

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Completed year 12 High School Education
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good numeracy / mathematical skills
  • Mechanical aptitude for machine setting functions
  • Persistence to resolve issues
  • Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Desire to improve work skills & reach full potential
  • Willingness to participate in any on-going on the job training
  • Willingness to train & assist other fellow employees
