Our company, Hayden Health & Safety is a family owned and operated business. Our team prides themselves on their professionalism and we are passionate about health and safety in the workplace. We are looking for a medical officer to grow with us, initially casual with a view to go part time or full time.

We currently provide the following services:

Spirometry, Respirator Fit Testing, Audiometric, Occupational Noise Assessments, Drug & Alcohol Screening, Cat 3 Rail Medicals. These services are offered both in house or mobile (we have a custom built van for testing). We provide testing to a wide range of clients throughout NSW.

We are expanding our business scope with a view to conducting Rail Cat 1,2, 3 and heavy vehicle driver medicals as well as other occupational assessments as required. We currently conduct pre-employment medicals which include a full functional assessment carried out by a physiotherapist.

The purpose of this role is to improve the health and welfare of workers' through the provision of medical assessments of an occupational medical with full formal reporting and referrals as required to other professions.

Role responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of medical services as required
  • Provide advice to clients and management on health issues and follow-up where required
  • Maintain liaison with employers, workers representatives and external agencies on appropriate health issues

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Sound Clinical Skills
  • Accreditation to conduct Order 43 Medicals (highly regarded)
  • Accreditation to conduct Rail Cat 1, 2 & 3 Medicals (highly regarded)
  • A strong understanding of Occupational Medicine is important

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed time management and prioritization skills
  • Previous experience in an occupational setting.
  • Willingness to obtain accreditation for Coal & Rail
  • Ability to travel to our client sites if requested
