Tamworth Community Health Service have an excellent opportunity for a passionate and proactive Occupational Therapist to join their dedicated team on a full time basis!

This is an Occupational Therapist Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. The incumbent will work towards meeting the criteria for Level 3.

About the role:
This position will see you working as part of a small team of three Occupational Therapists (OTs) to provide quality, evidence based support, consultation and supervision to OTs across the area and is well supported by the New England OT network. This role comes under the New England Community Aged Care Service and will see you providing assessment for home modification and equipment prescription for the older clients in the New England region. This service also has a consultative role for the other OTs in the area. Depending on the skills of the applicant, there will be support for training around home modifications and equipment prescription. 

About you:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic OT who enjoys working autonomously in the community setting and who has a passion for working with the aged population. You will also have an interest in home modifications as this forms a main component of the caseload. Your adaptability, flexibly and excellent communication and organisation skills will be key in this dynamic role.
