Salary: $98,105.44 to $116,361.04
Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Health Employees Agreement 2019

Position Summary:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Manual Handling Advisor with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant(will be expected to be able to review and implement sustainable solutions and programs that prevent and/or reduce risks across St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney with a particular focus on manual handling.

The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Tertiary qualifications in safety, health, risk management or working towards or demonstrated relevant experience.
  • High level of self-motivation with critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills to develop safety initiatives
  • Experience in the design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of safety training programs, with particular focus on manual handling
  • Demonstrated ability to implement training programs and improve safety performance, with particular focus on manual handling
  • Ability to motivate and facilitate change
  • Proven superior level of communication and interpersonal skills, customer focus with a highly developed ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
