Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until May 2023 (with job share consideration)

Mental Health Professional - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

This position is graded as an Occupational Therapist Level 3, Social Worker Level 3, Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist in Training, Psychologist, Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 & Registered Nurse. Graduates from the Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health (Djirruwang Program) may be appointed as a Counsellor Level 3.

As a Mental Health Professional within the Armidale Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), you will provide efficient and effective assessment and care coordination services for children and young people experiencing mental health concerns and their families, carers and guardians. You will be joining the skilled, multidisciplinary team that is well supported by the broader CAMHS network and Tablelands Mental Health Service.

Your professional development will be supported in this position through clinical supervision and mentorship from the broader CAMHS network including the Clinical Leader as well as the Service Manager for the Tablelands Mental Health Team. You will also be provided with training and educational opportunities to support your continued career growth whilst in this role.

Our successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced clinician who has the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as an active member of a multidisciplinary team. Your high level communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills combined with your experience and knowledge in working with children and young people with mental health concerns and their families and carers will be the key to your success in this position.

Job share arrangements will be considered.

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.

If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
