The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Role

Pathology Collection is an integral part of Laboratory Services – RCH Pathology. Pathology collection provides collection service for both inpatients and outpatients The Royal Women’s and the Royal Children’s Hospital. It also provides a collection service for VCGS and other external Medical practitioners.

We have 2 positions available for casual Pathology Collectors. This position involves Pathology Collection services as rostered at Royal Children’s and Royal Women’s Hospital Pathology Collection.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

  • Certificate III in Pathology Collection
  • Previous 3 years’ experience in Public or Private Pathology Collection desirable but not essential
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Neat well presented
  • Reliable, Flexible with hours, rostering
  • Commitment to the job at hand
