Position Summary

We’re inviting applications from skilled Residential Aged Care clinicians with strong leadership capabilities to oversee care delivery for our thriving Bli Bli facility!

Working with your Care Coordinator and multi-disciplinary team, you’ll work to provide outstanding care to residents in your service, advocating individualised care that enhances and promotes their quality of life. Overseeing a team of care staff, you’ll empower your team through learning, support and leadership in order to advance the level of service to your residents.

In conjunction with your Residential Service Manager, you’ll ensure care governance and quality compliance are achieved through robust processes that meet internal and external auditing standards.

You’ll ensure the sustainability and growth of the service through your diligence with ACFI funding, care planning and community engagement. You’ll plan and implement care initiatives centred on quality improvements, driving positive changes within your services.

What you’ll need:
As an experienced leader, you’ll hold considerable knowledge of residential care with practical experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within an aged/community setting. You’ll have a solid understanding of the industries quality standards, frameworks, funding and how these have shaped care delivery for the sector. You'll have:

Bachelor Level Qualifications in a Nursing with current AHPRA registration
An NDIS worker screening clearance (willingness to obtain)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven leadership, coaching and development skills
Sound experience in management of budgets & financials
Ability to routinely problem-solve complex clinical scenarios
Evidence of innovative practices, through quality or service improvements

Recently, Queensland Health advised that employees working in a residential aged care facility are no longer required to have an influenza vaccination. Whilst the influenza vaccination is currently not a requirement, it is highly likely the vaccination will be a seasonal requirement moving into future years. We strongly encourage all employees across Aged Care and Community Services to obtain the seasonal influenza vaccination to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the vulnerable people in our care as well as their own.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen?
Desirable: Do you hold a current Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate to practice in the State where employed? i.e. AHPRA registration
Desirable: Do you hold the required qualifications for this role? Please note you WILL be required to provide copies during the interview process.
