Community Allied Health Services (CAHS) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Physiotherapist (Grade 2) for a fixed term position. CAHS delivers community services to eligible people in 6 Local Government Areas in the Loddon Mallee Region.

The Team

The Integrated Care Services Division offers a diverse range of programs and services which provide high quality person centred care to patients, clients, residents and consumers in Bendigo and across the Loddon Mallee Region. Services are provided in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.

Our services include; Aboriginal Services and Diversity, Allied Health, Community Programs, Health Promotion, Outpatient Rehabilitation Service, Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy Services, Rehabilitation & Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care, Residential Care Services, Transition Care and Volunteer Services.

In addition the Executive Director Integrated Care Services has professional responsibilities as the Chief Allied Health Officer As such the CAHO is focused on leading and supporting the allied health professional workforce to feel valued and empowered to provide exceptional, quality care.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
01.1) Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).


Essential:
02.2) Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the role of the physiotherapist in community and residential aged care settings utilising a person centred approach

Essential:
03.3) Demonstrated understanding of health and related issues for elderly people, people with disabilities, and their carers

Essential:
04.4) Demonstrated ability to coordinate and provide an effective, efficient high quality physiotherapy service

Essential:
05.5) Demonstrated commitment to working in a multidisciplinary team that includes collaborative partnerships with service providers involved with the care of the client

Essential:
06.6) Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, motivated and to manage time effectively

Essential:
07.7) Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across client, community and professional groups

Essential:
08.8) Demonstrated ability to supervise and support grade 1 physiotherapists and undergraduate students

Essential:
09.9) Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and ability to meet the requirements of the Bendigo Health Allied Health Credentialing and Scope of Practice
