Fixed Term Full/Part Time

(80 hrs per fortnight) with ADO

Applications are invited from motivated and experienced individuals to join our dedicated team at Wimmera Health Care Group. This temporary full time position will be an 18 month contract, to complete in January 2023 includes working Monday to Friday. The Region

The city of Horsham has a population of 19,500 and is a 300 kms from Melbourne on the Western Highway and 400kms to Adelaide. It is a well serviced city with diverse education and businesses, positioned at the northern end of the Grampians National Park, nearby lakes and world famous rock-climbing areas as well as being a wine and food hub.

The Health Service

Wimmera Health Care Group has an average of 325 births per year, 12,500 admissions and 4,600 operations and 16,000 ED attendances annually. We have a modern theatre complex, including a day procedure unit, a five-bed intensive care unit, and acute and subacute wards all set within a picturesque garden setting.

The Position

The Gender Equality & Diversity Project Officer will co-ordinate the establishment and implementation of work required under the Gender Equality Act. This includes liaising with key stakeholders, data entry, report writing and developing training content.

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

  • Awareness / understanding of the Gender Equality Act 2020, gender equality and intersectionality

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience analysing data with the ability to produce a variety of reports outlining key findings and provide recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and improve processes

  • Capability to communicate process change and provide education support to managers

  • Advanced computer skills with a sound knowledge of applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage time effectively

  • A personal approach which is positive, respectful, collaborative and helpful

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources or equivalent

  • Previous experience using Chris21 or other payroll systems
