St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee.

We are seeking an I.T savvy administration officer! This is a newly created position to assist the infection prevention team with administration tasks. The Infection Prevention Team consults across the four SVPHM facilities, managing all aspects of "Standard 3". Consulting on a variety of topics including the administration of immunisations, infection surveillance, environmental matters and cleaning, health promotion resources and activities.

Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);
  • Providing administration support to the team
  • Facilitating communication between the patient, family, medical, nursing, ancillary, and allied health staff
  • Managing monthly infection surveillance, staff health data entry and extraction of reports where required
  • Preparing meeting materials, including teleconferencing arrangements and writing meeting minutes
  • Report generation
  • Ordering of supplies and distribution to sites
  • Participating in team and hospital activities as agreed with Infection Prevention Manager
  • Other related tasks as required

The successful candidate will have;
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written, grammar and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable
