About Department

The Department of Respiratory & Sleep Medicine provides a comprehensive service in all aspects of the investigation and management of respiratory and sleep disorders, including the full range of lung function testing, bronchoscopy service, home and lab sleep studies.

Special interests include the management of asthma and chronic airways disease, alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, tuberculosis and other infectious respiratory conditions.

About The Role

You will be responsible for providing a range of clerical and administrative support to the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Respiratory Laboratory, Sleep Laboratory and its teams.

Classification for this position be a HS2 ($66,768.00 base salary per annum - Pro rata for Part Time employees)

Duties
  • You will provide timely and professional reception for all phone calls and visitors to the Department
  • You will provide secretarial assistance to the Director of the Department and other medical and scientific staff
  • You will provide administrative assistance to the Lung Liaison nurse to coordinate the Combined Lung Cancer clinic
  • You will provide general office duties for the Department

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
  • Previous administrative experience in a Health or Community Service Environment
  • Previous experience in providing administrative support
  • Medical terminology
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office
