About The Department

The Cardiology Department provides many services including cardiac catheterisation and intervention, pacemaker implantation and checks, associated ancillary cardiac services and world leading research. You will also be involved in non-invasive investigations including ECGs, ambulatory monitors, echocardiography, stress echocardiography, TOE and relevant administration.

About The Role

The Grade 2 Cardiac Technologist, under the guidance of the Operations Manager and/or Directors of Cardiology & Non-Invasive Cardiology will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care in his/her specific areas such as, Electrocardiography, Holter Monitoring, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Pacing or Echocardiography

Classifications for this position will range from BB1 - BB4 ($81,328 - $93,490 base salary per annum).

Duties
  • Monitoring of the patient condition in all areas within and associated with the laboratory
  • Acquisition of ECG data associated with procedures such as pacemaker checks, Holter monitors and exercise stress test
  • Acquisition of haemodynamic data associated with all invasive procedures
  • Maintenance of the relevant Departmental paperwork including completion of patient reports, image and data archiving and management of administrative paperwork
  • Involvement in relevant research and quality activities

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science
  • The attendance or completion of a relevant Post Graduate course including:
  • Post Graduate Cardiac Physiology courses
