St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee.

St Vincent’s Private Kew Campus, are seeking experienced perioperative staff to join our operating suite. We are a friendly, team orientated five theatre unit, specialising in orthopaedics, plastics, opthamology/vitro retinal and oral/facial maxillary surgeries.

We offer excellent educational opportunities, as well as an experienced and well supported team to work with. You will be working in a friendly 5 theatre complex that operates Monday to Saturday, we specialise in orthopaedics, plastics, hand surgery, ophthalmology and dental and faciomax surgeries. St Vincent’s offers the post graduate course in peri-operative nursing.

Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);
  • Provide Patient/Resident centred care
  • Uphold and maintain the expected standards of service excellence
  • Perform duties of the position to best of their ability and to a standard acceptable to SVHA
  • Treat others with respect and always behave professionally and in accordance with the SVHA Code of Conduct.

The successful applicant will have;
  • Experience in the Operating Suite is desirable
  • Previous or current experience in orthopaedic or ophthalmic surgery is desirable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Collaboration skills
  • Be flexible and reliable at all times
