About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Deputy Operations Manager, the role of Pre Analytics Reliever is responsible for covering any administration role within the Pre Analytics department when required and assisting with day to day operations.

This involves a wide variety of tasks and a degree of initiative and input is welcomed and expected as well as the ability to take direction and follow instructions. Working in a small team the role is a casual position.

Duties:

  • General operational and clinical support for collection staff, including roster changes and assisting to cover sick leave;
  • Assisting to collate error data and provide feedback to staff for continual quality improvement;
  • Administrative tasks relating to laboratories results management and collections/appointments management;
  • Telephone management - provide a positive first impression and experience to all internal and external client enquiries and apply first call resolution where applicable; and
  • Dealing with enquiries and scheduling bookings from medical professionals and patients for pathology specimen collection services at Clinpath Collection Centres, domiciliary visits and/or hospital visits.

Applicants should possess the following:

  • Superior customer service skills;
  • Experience in a medical environment and a good grasp of medical terminology (advantageous);
  • A polished and professional telephone manner with excellent verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to be an active listener;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • High level of computer skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team;
  • The ability to practice flexibility;
  • High level of confidentiality; and
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure.
