What You Will Be Doing

Experienced Grade 1 Dietitians are encouraged to apply for this Limited Term Full Time position that is based at The Mornington Centre and involves working with the interdisciplinary team to deliver dietetic services for inpatients under a Geriatric Evaluation and Management model of care. The position may also include providing clinical cover at other RAPPS sites including Golf Links Rd , Rosebud Hillview Rehabilitation and the other wards at the Mornington Centre when required. This clinical cover together with participation in the department's ‘Buddying’ program, provides the incumbent with opportunities for mentoring, skill development and experience in a range of key clinical areas

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Senior Dietitian and / or Grade 2 Dietitian, work as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide best practice dietetic assessment, intervention, case management, education and discharge planning for inpatients utilising a person centred approach.
  • Actively engage in clinical supervision and the Buddy program
  • Actively participate in the Quality Improvement program
What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
  • Member, or eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia
  • Member, or eligible for membership of the Accredited Practicing Dietitian Program
  • Demonstrated participation in Professional Development.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Appropriate clinical experience in the inpatient setting
  • Commitment to accuracy of record keeping & reporting in the medical record
  • Computer literate
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to exhibit a degree of flexibility & time management with regard to work load
