Your new role

As part of a small team, the Clinical Case Manager, Family Drug Treatment is responsible for the case management, coordination and supervision of parents on the program. The Clinical Case Manager is responsible for providing advice to the team on the progress of the parents through the program. They also play a key role in the development and quality assurance of treatment services within the program (including data input and maintenance).
You will be accountable for providing clinical advice, treatment and referral service information duties will include:

  • Provide assessment and intensive primary and clinical case management to parents entering the program, including management and supervision of individual treatment plans.
  • Provide reflective, creative and effective case management strategies in the interests of securing engagement and compliance with program requirements, including through the provision of outreach where clinically indicated and the use of person-centred collaborative client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Participate in fortnightly clinical supervision to ensure service integrity and the efficacy of clinical practice.
  • Participate in case conferences and provide expert advice in relation to the offender’s psycho-social history, substance use and suitability for the inclusion in and ongoing participation in the program.
  • In a team environment, participate in team and professional development activities at an individual, and whole-of-team level.
  • Develop, manage and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and progress of the program including the development and continuous improvement of clinical policies, procedures and assessment tools.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and case management in the areas of drug treatment, mental health, and associated issues.
  • Experience in clinical case management for people with alcohol and drug related issues.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act, 2005 and Children's Court practice and procedures, or the ability to obtain such knowledge.
  • A tertiary qualification in Health, Social Welfare or related studies.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience with knowledge of AOD.
